Manassas in the fall...

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely family who lives just a few doors down from us. They have 5 gorgeous children who play with our two rambunctious ragamuffins quite regularly.
As always, you can click on the pictures for a larger view!

I had a great time doing their session and mom was a real sport through it all, especially considering she wasn't feeling well.I love mother and daughter shots. Not only is Miss M. the oldest but she is also the only daughter! The kiddos did great and I got some lovely shots of everyone but baby J., the youngest of the bunch. I will be taking that young man back for a small session to see if I can't make those chubby little cheeks smile for me. He is such a character!

Little Mr. A, who has the sweetest character and gets along like a house on fire with our own 3 year old. Then there's J. who will be turning 6 this coming week. Look at those stunning eyes! He and our oldest have a little thing for each other. :)
And of course there's B., the oldest of the boys and judging by those eyes and that smile, a ladies man in the making. (Just kidding mom).
And because I adore black and white, here is my favorite one of the session. Miss M. is such a pretty girl and incredibly sweet to my youngest daughter Ayla who has a total little girl crush on her.
Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon and for putting up with wet shoes and muddy trousers. We made it just before all the leaves dropped too!

A splash of prettiness at the Boise Depot.

I first photographed this pretty little girl several years ago, and it was a joy to see her and her mom again. Little miss S. has grown a whole bunch and has a lot of personality to go along with it!

What a smile! And those dimples! I bet she wraps her mom around her little finger with that smile. I know it worked on me. :)

And a true little diva to boot!

Thanks again for a fun session you two! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

It's been a while...

Yes, it certainly has been a wee while since I last added to my blog, but we just got back from Boise last week where I had the good fortune to do a couple of sessions with some favorite clients of mine. So as promised here is a sneak peek for the A. Family.

They have grown so much since we last saw each other!

Little A. as pretty as ever. Her eyes really are that lovely. No photo shopping necessary to enhance any of her natural beauty.

And F. with his naughty little smile. Such a character! I love his grass stained knee in this, it screams 'all boy' to me.Sibling love. They are so cute together. I've always liked the timelessness of a sepia or black and white print. It really puts the focus on your subjects.

And because they are siblings, horseplay was bound to finish up our session together.

We miss you guys..

Beyond red and green

BEYOND RED AND GREEN has wonderful templates for photographers. Check them out. AND they are having a contest right now. Love the clean simple, eye-catching designs.

On a side note, I realize that I am a horrible blogger. I promise to get better. Once I get some recent sessions worked up I will back!

Fresh faced preschoolers

A couple of weeks ago I was asked if would be interested in photographing the children at my daughter's preschool. Of course I said yes! It's a small preschool with 37 students, so definately do-able. I did mini sessions for a week and got to meet a lot of great kids, their siblings and a hand full of parents too. It was a blast!

Here are a few of the fresh faces I had the pleasure of photographing.

My thanks goes out to the lovely Miss Sandi who owns and runs Amity Community Preschool and Kindergarten. She is a great lady and I am so greatful I found her school at a stones throw from where I live.

Fall is in the air...

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful A. family. Not only are they repeat customers of mine, but also good friends. Their babies are close in age to mine and many playdates have been spent watching our children play together while we discussed parenting, adoption, books, movies and life in general.

Yesterday evening we met up at Barber Park and spent an hour together walking, admiring the fall scenery and stopping to take pictures.

I know you are excited to see how they turned out so here's a sneak peek for you guys. You were awesome and I am going to you miss you very, very much when we leave.
